Gifting has been at the heart of the Holiday of Hoops on NBA Top Shot, and for good reason.
This time of the year is all about exchanging presents and gifts with friends and family, and exchanging Moments as gifts has been at the foundation of Top Shot’s community since its earliest days.
For the past week, we’ve embraced the holiday spirit with Top Shot Secret Santa, the Holiday Wishlist and 12 Days of Hoopsmas. Yesterday, thousands of collectors received Top Shot Secret Santa gifts back — some of them being Rare and Legendary Moments — and into next week, Holiday Wishlist and 12 Days of Hoopsmas fun will continue.
Today, we are excited to share a new Gifting ability that we think you’ll love. Collectors now have the ability to gift a Moment to anyone, whether or not they have an existing NBA Top Shot collection.
When you go to gift a Moment like you normally would, you’ll now have the option to “GET MY GIFT LINK” instead of just sending it to another collector by their name.
Your Gift Link can be sent via email, text message or chat to share a Moment you love with someone new to NBA Top Shot (or even an existing collector). When a new collector clicks the link you send, they’ll be invited to redeem their new NBA Top Shot Moment by creating an account.
This will give collectors the ability to share their love of Top Shot with friends and family with ease, and we hope to see you spreading holiday cheer as the year comes to a close.
With Gift links, sending a Moment has never been easier, but that’s not all we’ve got in store for today’s Holiday of Hoops surprises.
Starting today, through the end of December, all Marketplace purchases on NBA Top Shot will receive an instant 5% Dapper Balance back to your Wallet.
Whether you’re looking to do last-minute shopping for the basketball fan in your life, complete a Christmas Challenge or treat yourself to a holiday Moment from your Wishlist, any purchase you make in the Marketplace is eligible.
- Direct Marketplace purchases will be eligible for 5% back. Offers are not eligible for 5% back.
- The Dapper Balance is automatically sent to your Dapper Wallet within seconds of completing your purchase. The 5% back is non-withdrawable Balance.
- 5% back only applies to Marketplace purchases, not Pack purchases.
- There is no limit to the size of a purchase eligible for 5% back.
- There is no limit to the number of purchases you can make or the total value of the purchases you can make to receive 5% back.
- This 5% back applies to existing collectors as well as anyone new who joins NBA Top Shot during the timeframe the offer is running.
