June 13, 2019, will forever live in NBA history. It’s the day the Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the Finals, clinching their first NBA Championship in franchise history.
It’s also the last time Klay Thompson made a basket for the Golden State Warriors.
With 2:22 left in the third quarter, and the Warriors leading the Raptors at home, doing everything in their power to force a Game 7, Klay hit two free throws after getting fouled and landing awkwardly on a dunk attempt. They were his 29th and 30th points of the game, and he’d go down as the night’s leading scorer despite not playing another minute in that game, or any other game since.

After nearly 3 years of waiting, the 3-time champ, 5-time All-Star — and Splash Brother — is ready to pick up where he left off, making his return to the court in pursuit of another NBA title. On Sunday, he’ll rejoin the Warriors and lace 'em up for the first time in 941 days, taking on Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, for his Chase Center debut.
It’s going to be electric, and we’ve got something special in store to help fans celebrate this momentous occasion. Introducing the “The Return” Flash Challenge, where you can earn a Klay Thompson Metallic Silver FE Moment™ NFT, minted from this game, and capture a piece of NBA history with NBA Top Shot.
To earn a Moment from an iconic return, you’ll need to create a Showcase featuring:
- The top five players with the most 3-pointers made in the NBA games on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022.
- One Klay Thompson Vintage Vibes or Deck the Hoops Moment.
- And three Rare/Legendary 3-Pointer Moments, from the NBA and/or WNBA.

RULES
- Create a Showcase with exactly nine (9) Moment™ collectibles.
- The nine Moments must include the five (5) players with the most 3-Pointers made in NBA games on January 9, 2021.
- The nine Moments must also include one (1) Klay Thompson Vintage Vibes or Deck the Hoops Moment.
- The nine Moments must also include three (3) Rare or Legendary 3-Pointer Wildcards from the NBA and/or WNBA.
- If any of the players don't have a Moment on NBA Top Shot at the start of the Flash Challenge then the player with the sixth most 3-Pointers made will be needed and so on.
- This challenge has three tiebreakers to limit the amount of players to a top 5. Tiebreaker #1 - Team Final Score Point Differential. Tiebreaker #2 - Player +/-. Tiebreaker #3 - Most Time Played.
- On Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 1pm PST, a snapshot will be taken of all Showcases. All eligible collectors who complete the Flash Challenge will receive a Klay Thompson Metallic Silver FE Moment™ NFT within 24 hours of the end of the challenge.
- Please make sure all Moments are delisted from the Marketplace before saving your Showcase. If you delist a Moment, ensure your Showcase is still valid. Otherwise, do not gift, sell, or trade in Moments in your Showcase until after you have received your reward or until winners have been announced. Prior to the snapshot, please verify that your Showcase still includes all eligible Moments.
- You must use the Showcase Builder to enter this Challenge. You must also use the Showcase Builder to make any edits to your Showcase. The Showcase Builder provides the correct name for the Challenge and any other name will be invalid.
- You must submit your Showcase by 12:59.59pm PST or earlier to ensure your submission is accepted. The time of submission is recorded when the save button is pressed. If you submit after the deadline, your entry will not be accepted.
