If you were to own a keepsake from any of Dwyane Wade’s 16 NBA seasons - there’s a few key plays that instantly come to mind.

Perhaps his impressive title winning performances in 2012 & 2013. Or maybe something from when he averaged a career-best 30.2 points/night in 2008-2009.

Though both eras were special in their own right, D-Wade’s ‘05-‘06 campaign is downright mythical in some aspects.

Picture this: the Miami Heat, after acquiring legendary center Shaquille O’Neal a year prior, finally had bright prospects to capture the franchise’s first NBA title. Teaming up Shaq with D-Wade, on a veteran-laden roster featuring the likes of Alonzo Mourning, James Posey, Antoine Walker, Gary Payton & Jason Williams -- along with the return of Pat Riley to his familiar head coaching role -- was the perfect recipe to make a deep run into the postseason.

Wade's first Moment debuted in Run It Back packs, with his second coming in Archive Set rebound packs.

After dispatching the upstart Chicago Bulls in Round 1, then later the Nets & Pistons in the Conference Finals, Miami booked a date with the 60-win Dallas Mavericks, led by superstar Dirk Nowitzki & a strong supporting cast also looking to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy for the first time.

Before Miami knew it, however, Dallas built a 2-0 series lead and took all the momentum heading into Game 3.

With the season essentially on the line, D-Wade dug deep and helped Miami overcome a 13-point deficit (with under six minutes to play) to take Game 3 and cut Dallas’s series lead in half. Wade's final stat line included 42 huge points & 13 rebounds on 54 percent shooting. Unstoppable.

Inspiring performance but impossible to sustain, right? Especially with Dallas keying in on Wade the rest of the series. Well, about that…

Wade continued to light up the Mavs with an arsenal of moves inside the arc and around the rim - living up to the early “Flash” moniker Shaq coined back in the day.

Wade followed up his strong Game 3 with 36 in Game 4, 43 in Game 5 & finally another 36-point outing in Game 6 to clinch the title - Miami’s leading scorer in each contest.

For a third-year guard to take the reins and lead a comeback (series) victory in the Finals is unheard of. Though the veteran pieces ultimately fit like a glove, Wade set himself apart as a go-to guy and clutch performer on the game’s biggest stage.

An all-time great, Wade’s ‘05-‘06 season was just a precursor to a career filled with crowning achievements. And soon, you’ll be able to grab the first-ever Fandom Moment from that signature season.
