Be one of the first to own the first Moments of the season. Here's everything you need to know about tonight's Tip-Off Pack.
It was a star-studded summer of jersey swaps around the league, and on Opening Night three of the biggest names play their first games in new colors. Paul George makes his Celtics debut Tuesday afternoon in Detroit, and LeBron James and Jaylen Brown suit up for the 76ers at Madison Square Garden at 7:00 PM ET. Their first Moments in those jerseys go into tonight's pack, the Jersey Swap: Opening Night Fresh Threads Pack, which goes up for pre-order at the Garden's tip-off. It's the first of the Tip-Off Packs that run from now until the Rookie Debut drop on Wednesday, November 11.

What are Tip-Off Packs?
A Tip-Off Pack is your chance to be one of the first collectors to own the first Moments of the 2026-27 season. When a featured player makes his mark in his first game, the first handful of that Moment go into that day's Tip-Off Pack, before anyone else can get them.
Every Tip-Off Pack is a limited, one-day $10 pack with 3 Moments inside. You get a shot at one of the brand-new Moments from the game, and we've also stocked each pack with Moments of the featured players and of past rookie classes. The rest of each pack is Base Set from last season, and the only reason it's last season's is that this season has only just tipped off. Once this season's Base Set starts minting, it takes that spot, and the packs fill up with brand-new 2026-27 Moments.
The new Moments in each pack are only a small slice of the edition. Most of every new Moment's mint, and every one of its parallels, is held back for the Rookie Debut drop on November 11, so a Tip-Off Pack is the only way to own one of them first.
Opening Night: the Jersey Swap
The first pack is the Jersey Swap: Opening Night Fresh Threads Pack, built around three of the biggest jersey changes of the offseason. Paul George plays his first game for the Boston Celtics at 3:00 PM ET in Detroit, and LeBron James and Jaylen Brown play their first game for the Philadelphia 76ers against the Knicks at the Garden at 7:00 PM ET.
Each of them gets a brand-new Fresh Threads 2026-27 Moment from that night, with a mint of 99, and only 5 of each go into this pack. The rest of the /99, plus the Hexwave /25 and Jukebox /10 parallels, comes in the Rookie Debut drop.
Alongside the new Moments, the pack holds Moments of all three players from earlier in their careers, including a Paul George Holo Icon /99, Jaylen Brown Hexwave /25s and a Jukebox /10, a LeBron James So Fresh /250 and a LeBron James Run It Back: Origins Blockchain /99.
How the pre-order works
This week's first Tip-Off Packs are pre-orders, and it's the fastest opening-week Moments have ever reached collections. You lock in your pack order before the game even starts, and it's in your collection a day after tip-off.
Opening Night's pack opens for pre-order at 7:00 PM ET, right as the Sixers tip off, so you're locking in your pack order while LeBron and Jaylen are still on the court. The pre-order stays open for 24 hours, until 7:00 PM ET on Wednesday, and you order the same way you buy any pack: each order is one pack, and you can place up to 250.
When the pre-order closes and the trade-in auction winners have their packs, the rest go out in two draws.
Draw 1: one pack per collector. Half of the remaining packs go to collectors picked at random, one pack each. How many orders you placed doesn't matter here, so one order has the same shot as 250. Once you win a pack in this draw you're out of it, and the next pack goes to someone else. If there are more packs than collectors to give them to, the extras roll into the second draw.
Draw 2: wide open. The other half goes to a second draw where every order that hasn't won yet is one ticket, so more orders means better odds. That includes collectors who already won in the first draw, because their other orders are still in.
The first draw rewards showing up, and the second rewards going big. Every pack is delivered when the pre-order closes.
Next week: first come, first served
Once opening week has settled, the season finds its rhythm and Tip-Off Packs pick up the pace with it. Starting next week, they drop first come, first served, all the way to the Rookie Debut drop.
Trade-in auctions: put your collection to work
Every Tip-Off Pack comes with its own trade-in auction, which opens at the same time as the pack. Each bid is made up of Moments you trade in, ranked by the total average sale price of the Moments in it, and the top 25 bidders each win 2 of that day's packs.
For Opening Night, you can bid with any LeBron James, Jaylen Brown or Paul George Moment. The auction closes Wednesday, October 21 at 2:30 PM ET, and the winners' packs arrive at the same time as everyone else's, when the pre-order closes at 7:00 PM ET.
After Opening Night, the trade-in auctions take any NBA Rookie Debut Moment, from any series. When a rookie shares his pack with other players, any Moment of those players counts too.
What comes after Opening Night
The 2026 rookies are the center of everything that follows. When a featured rookie makes his mark in his first game, the first handful of that Moment go into a Tip-Off Pack. Some days a rookie shares his pack with other stars, and their first Moments of the season come from those games as well.

Where it's all heading: the Rookie Debut drop
All of this builds to Wednesday, November 11, when the Rookie Debut drop brings the 2026 rookie class to NBA Top Shot. That's where the full mints and the parallels land, across Rookie Debut, Season Tip-Off and Fresh Threads, plus Rookie Ultimate 1/1s. The signed Rookie Debut Galactic /5s come from our partnered Top Shot Athlete rookies, and any partnered Top Shot Athlete in Season Tip-Off or Fresh Threads signs his Jukebox /10s too.
The drop comes as a Case, a Box and the new Collector Pack. Early access opens Thursday, November 5, and public pre-orders open Tuesday, November 10. We'll cover the drop, early access and how to qualify next week.
