FAST FACTS

• A new, two-tiered Flash Challenge, called 'Get Buckets,' goes live after the final buzzer in tonight's final game (approx 10:00pm PST) at this page.

• The Easy track needs Moments of the top 3 Field Goals Made (FGM) Leaders on Dec 29 to earn a Series 2 Base Pack. 
• The Hard track needs Moments of top 5 Field Goals Made (FGM) Leaders on Dec 29 using only Top Shot Debut Moments to earn a Series 2 Rare Pack.
• If you finish either or both of the Showcases and keep it/them intact by 1pm PST on Thursday, Dec. 30, you'll win the respective rewards.

With tonight’s 8-game NBA slate, we’re looking to see who is making shots. And since it’s still the holiday season, we're going to give fans the gift of two different tiers for this challenge, so everyone can shoot their shot. 

Easy: Create a Showcase using Moments of the top 3 Field Goals Made (FGM) Leaders on Dec. 29 to earn a Series 2 Base Pack. 

Hard: Create a Showcase of the top 5 Field Goals Made (FGM) Leaders on Dec. 29 using only Top Shot Debut Moments to earn a Series 2 Rare Pack.

TIEBREAKER UPDATE

As we reach the milestone of 20 Flash Challenges, it’s a good time to take a step back and analyze the game. While Flash Challenges still have a lot of room to grow, we want to make a change that will go into effect immediately.

This change is regarding our Flash Challenge tiebreakers. There has been a lot of conversation of late regarding most minutes played. While it may be true that achieving better stats in less time is more impressive, it doesn’t always tell the whole story.

To that end, we are bringing back +/- as a tiebreaker as of tonight. This will be the second tiebreaker after the team margin of victory. Most minutes played will remain as the third tiebreaker. Team margin of victory is important because we want to reward players that not only ball out, but help their team win. Adding back +/- gives us a second stat that can help show player impact on the floor. Lastly, we are keeping most minutes played as the third tiebreaker because we believe that having a better +/- with greater time on the floor is a better representation of overall impact on a game.

We are always trying to improve and we believe this change will make for a more fun experience as you watch NBA games and assemble your roster of Moments to complete Flash Challenges. Enjoy!

RULES

Easy

1. Create a Showcase with exactly three (3) Moment™ collectibles.
2. The three Moments must include the 3 players with the most field goals made in the NBA games on December 29, 2021.
3. If any of the players don't have a Moment on NBA Top Shot at the start of the Flash Challenge then the player with the fourth most field goals made will be needed and so on.
4. This challenge has three tiebreakers to limit the amount of players to 3. Tiebreaker #1 - Team Margin Of Victory. Tiebreaker #2 - Player +/-. Tiebreaker #3 - Most Minutes Played.
5. On Thursday, Dec. 30 at 1pm PST, a snapshot will be taken of all Showcases. All eligible collectors who complete the Flash Challenge will receive a Series 2 Base Set pack within 24 hours of the end of the challenge.
6. Please make sure all Moments are delisted from the Marketplace before saving your Showcase. If you delist a Moment, ensure your Showcase is still valid. Otherwise, do not gift, sell, or trade in Moments in your Showcase until after you have received your reward or until winners have been announced. Prior to the snapshot, please verify that your Showcase still includes all eligible Moments.

Hard

1. Create a Showcase with exactly five (5) Moment™ collectibles.
2. The five Moments must include the 5 players with the most field goals made in the NBA games on December 29, 2021.
3. All 5 Moments must have the Top Shot Debut badge.
4. If any of the players don't have a Moment on NBA Top Shot at the start of the Flash Challenge then the player with the sixth most field goals made will be needed and so on.
5. This challenge has three tiebreakers to limit the amount of players to 5. Tiebreaker #1 - Team Margin Of Victory. Tiebreaker #2 - Player +/-. Tiebreaker #3 - Most Minutes Played.
6. On Thursday, Dec. 30 at 1pm PST, a snapshot will be taken of all Showcases. All eligible collectors who complete the Flash Challenge will receive a Series 2 Rare pack within 24 hours of the end of the challenge.
