Following the release of The Anthology and ‘86-87 Run It Back, Top Shot had to Tap In with one of the greatest point guards in NBA history.
In collaboration with Magic Johnson, we’re revealing another IRL experience for collectors climbing Team and Player Leaderboards.
That’s right. The top 3 collectors on the Magic Johnson and Los Angeles Lakers Leaderboard – by October 11, 2022 at 1pm ET – will earn a rewards experience with the Laker legend.
Additionally, 2 randomly-selected collectors – 1 from Magic’s Leaderboard and 1 from the top 1000 of the Lakers Leaderboard – will be invited to attend as well.
All 8 winners (and their plus ones) will live it up at the “Magic Mansion” in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, October 21, 2022 with a catered dinner and a guest appearance from Magic Johnson himself.

What’s included in the Tapped In prize:

Here’s how the Tapped In selection will work:
- Player Leaderboard and Team Leaderboard Snapshots occured at 1pm ET on Thursday, October 6, 2022 for the “surprise and delight” selections and will also occur on 1pm ET on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 for the top 3 collectors on each Leaderboard.
- Directly following the Snapshots, Top Shot will confirm 8 total collectors – the top 3 on Magic Johnson’s Player Leaderboard, the top 3 on the Los Angeles Lakers Team Leaderboard and 1 random winner from the Player (Magic Johnson) and Team (Lakers) Leaderboards. Note: for the Lakers Leaderboard, the randomization will occur for the top 1000 collectors.
- Winners will begin to be contacted after the snapshot on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, & have 24 hours to claim their prize.
- Winners eligible to receive the Prize but unable to attend the Experience will have 24 hours from the time they were notified to nominate an alternate winner. Alternate winner’s must be an existing NBA Top Shot User that has successfully completed identity verification (“Alternate Winner Criteria”).

- COVID Protocol: We are adhering to local Government COVID-19 Requirements.
- We will be contacting winners beginning Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Collectors will be publicly announced no later than Friday, October 14, 2022 upon confirmation of their acceptance of this prize.
- We will not be providing a consolation prize for those who win, but decline the invitation.
