It’s time to take it coast to coast, rivalry style.
This Sunday, Jan. 23, will see the Clippers, Lakers, Knicks, and Nets, the four teams featured in NBA Top Shot’s Series 1 Hometown Showdown: Cali vs. NY Set, playing on the same day.
To celebrate the occasion and shine a light on the NBA’s two largest markets, and proud basketball traditions, we’re offering a Series 1 pack as a Flash Challenge reward for the first time ever.
To earn a Series 1 Hometown Showdown: Cali vs. NY pack, you’ll need to create a Challenge Entry featuring Rare and/or Legendary Moments from the top scorer on each New York (New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets) and LA (Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers) based team, along with Rare and/or Legendary Moments from the top three assist leaders during NBA games on Jan. 23, plus 3 Hometown Showdown: Cali vs. NY Set Moments.
Make sure you have your big city players locked into your Showcase by 1pm PST, Jan. 25.

RULES
- Create a Challenge Entry with exactly ten (10) Moment™ NFTs.
- The ten Moments must include: Rare and/or Legendary Moments from the leading scorers for the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers, and Los Angeles Lakers from NBA games on Sunday, January 23, 2022. You must have Rare and/or Legendary Moments from the top 3 players in assists from NBA games on Sunday, January 23, 2022. You must have three Hometown Showdown: Cali vs. NY Wildcards.
- If any of the players don't have a Moment on NBA Top Shot at the start of the Flash Challenge, then the player with the second most points on the Knicks, Nets, Lakers and/or Clippers will be needed and so on. Similarly, if any players in the top 3 assists don't have a Moment on Top Shot, you will need the player with the fourth most assists and so on.
- If any players do not have either a Rare or Legendary Moment, then you must use their Top Shot Debut.
- If a player is a leading scorer for Knicks, Nets, Clippers, and/or Lakers and they also finish top 3 in assists, you will need two Moments from the affected players.
- This Challenge has three tiebreakers to limit the amount of players to 7. Tiebreaker #1 - Team Final Score Point Differential. Tiebreaker #2 - Player +/-. Tiebreaker #3 - total time played.
- On Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 1pm PST, a snapshot will be taken of all Challenge Entries. All eligible collectors who complete the Flash Challenge will receive a Hometown Showdown: Cali vs. NY pack within 24 hours of the end of the Challenge.
- Please make sure all Moments are delisted from the Marketplace before saving your Challenge Entry. If you delist a Moment, ensure your Challenge Entry is still valid. Otherwise, do not gift, sell or trade in Moments in your Challenge Entry until after you have received your reward or until winners have been announced. Prior to the snapshot, please verify that your Challenge Entry still includes all eligible Moments.
- You must use the Challenge Builder to enter this Challenge. You must also use the Challenge Builder to make any edits to your Challenge Entry. The Challenge Builder provides the correct name for the Challenge and any other name will be invalid.
- You must submit your Challenge Entry by 12:59:59pm PST on Tuesday, Jan. 25, or earlier to ensure your submission is accepted. The time of submission is recorded when the save button is pressed. If you submit after the deadline, your entry will not be accepted.
