Larry Bird’s Anthology is the first Anthology collection of a retired Hall of Famer to drop since the introduction of Top Shot’s Leaderboards — and only the second to exist (here’s looking at you, Magic).

To celebrate Larry’s Legendary career, we’re introducing a brand new type of Burn Leaderboard that we’ve been building for the occasion, along with a series of Boston Celtics and Larry Bird Leaderboard Snapshots to reward some of our most passionate collectors with guaranteed access to these Drops.   

LARRY LEGEND AND RARE BIRD LEADERBOARDS 

Two new Burn Leaderboards will go live on August 18 and 21, and they’re unlike any Leaderboard you’ve seen before on Top Shot. By climbing these Leaderboards, you’ll be able to compete for some of the most incredible prizes we’ve ever offered. If you don’t finish in Prize Position, your Moments will stay in your collection and will not be burned. Win prizes for your Moments, or keep your Moments.

  • ‍AUGUST 18-21: The “Larry Legend” Leaderboard will reward the Top 10 finishers with Autographed Moments, Larry Legend Packs, Autographed Larry Bird Jerseys, and Autographed Larry Bird Basketballs.   • ‍AUGUST 21-23: The “Rare Bird” Leaderboard will reward the Top 33 finishers with Rare Bird Packs, with a chance at Autographed Larry Bird Jerseys and Autographed Larry Bird Basketballs.   • ‍MOMENT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Both Leaderboards will pay homage to Larry Bird’s legacy and accolades. As a member of the NBA 75 List, and a Rookie of the Year, MVP, All-Star Game MVP, and Finals MVP, any players on the NBA 75 List to have won any of those 4 honors will have their Top Shot Debut, Rare, and Legendary Moments able to be burned.

REWARDING LARRY BIRD AND BOSTON CELTICS COLLECTORS 

When a player’s Anthology is introduced, Top Shot rewards collectors of that player in different ways. The Anthology Moments of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry have each rewarded the Top 25 collectors on a Player Leaderboard, along with some variations outside of that. Larry Bird’s Anthology will continue that established precedent and make it an official rule in the world of Top Shot. 

When an active or retired player’s Anthology is introduced, the Top 25 members of their Player Leaderboard will always be rewarded in some way. 

On August 17 at 12:45 PM ET, a Snapshot was taken of the Larry Bird Player Leaderboard and Boston Celtics Team Leaderboard. Here’s what comes along with it, and the collectors who will be on the receiving end of these benefits.

  • 3 lucky collectors from each Leaderboard have been chosen to receive guaranteed access to buy a Legendary Pack.

For weighted drawings on these Leaderboards, each Top Shot Score point you had on the Leaderboard at the time of the Snapshot was equal to one drawing. A 1,000 Top Shot Score would be 1,000 entries into the Drawing.

On August 23, NBA fans and collectors will open Packs filled with the greatest plays of Larry Bird’s historic career.
