The NBA Playoffs start this weekend, and we’re excited to watch every game with you, in-person at arenas across North America and online across our global community.
To celebrate the final Holo Icon pack drop of Series 3, we’ve got something special planned for you today. A celebration of our community and the teams who rose above the rest over the last 82 games.
Today you can win a piece of $1,000,000 in NBA Top Shot Credit.
You can get your piece of the pie by participating in the first ever NBA Top Shot Queue Challenge, which starts when today’s first Queue opens and ends at 10am PT on Friday, April 15.
There are three Queue Challenges, and you can choose one to participate in. Here’s how they’ll work.
All you need to do is complete one of the following three challenges in our Challenge Hub.
- The Rookie Queue Challenge will require 12 total Moments. You’ll need any 1 Moment from each team in the top 6 of the Eastern Conference Standings and any 1 Moment from each team in the top 6 of the Western Conference Standings. Any Moment. 12 Total. A total pool of $500,000 in NBA Top Shot Credit will be distributed evenly to all successful completions while the Queue Challenge is live.
- The Veteran Queue Challenge will require 12 total Moments. You’ll need 1 Rare Metallic Gold LE Moment from each team in the top 6 of the Eastern Conference Standings and 1 Rare Metallic Gold LE Moment from each team in the top 6 of the Western Conference Standings. They must be Metallic Gold LE Moments from Series 1, Series 2 or Series 3. 12 Total. A total pool of $300,000 in NBA Top Shot Credit will be distributed evenly to all successful completions while the Queue Challenge is live.
- The Hero Ball Queue Challenge will require 12 total Moments. You’ll need 1 Legendary Holo MMXX or Legendary Holo Icon Moment from each team in the top 6 of the Eastern Conference Standings and 1 Legendary Holo MMXX or Legendary Holo Icon Moment from each team in the top 6 of the Western Conference Standings. They must be Legendary Holo Moments from Series 1, Series 2 or Series 3. 12 Total. A total pool of $200,000 in NBA Top Shot Credit will be distributed evenly to all successful completions while the Queue Challenge is live.
The Top 6 teams in the Eastern Conference Standings are the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls.
The Top 6 teams in the Western Conference Standings are the Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets.
To help, here are pre-created Marketplace filters for the Moments you’ll need to complete these Challenges. Additionally, any Moments you pull in packs from today’s drops can be used to complete these Challenges.

By completing any or all of these challenges, you are guaranteed to receive an equally distributed NBA Top Shot Credit based on total completions divided by the prize pool. You can expect the NBA Top Shot Credit to reach your account before the end of April.
Additionally, as we head into our biggest Playoffs ever – with fans going to every single game – we’re excited to share that:
- Anyone who purchases a Holo Icon pack today will receive a $100 NBA Top Shot Credit Bonus sent to their account following the conclusion of the pack drop (before the end of April).
- The NLL Council’s early performance and success has led us to drop a one-off $30,000 NBA Top Shot Credit Bonus to the Nine Lives Lounge community fund — $1,000 for each of the 30 Moments in the Cool Cats set.
- Every Playoff Captain, as part of our new Playoff Captain Program, will receive a one-time $10,000 NBA Top Shot Credit Bonus to their overall Captain budget, in addition to their first month’s budget to tip-off the NBA Playoffs.
