The Road To Top Shot 50 Starts Here

For NBA players enshrined in the Top Shot 50, the road to Legendary isn’t a straight line. It starts with a basketball, a hoop, and a dream. We’re talking about practice. Years of dedication, sacrifice, and experience that have honed their skills into All-Stars, candidates for Most Valuable Player, and NBA champions. As a collector, a pack rip revealing officially licensed and limited edition digital NBA collectibles called Moments is the start of a similar journey — full of thrills, challenges, and the pursuit of something truly Legendary. 

Over the next 30 days, the final 30 players to earn their spot in the Top Shot 50 will be revealed, starting now.  

NBA Top Shot and the NBPA are proud to induct Jalen Brunson, Paul George, James Harden, Jrue Holiday, Kyrie Irving, Zach LaVine, Kawhi Leonard, Donovan Mitchell, Jamal Murray, and Julius Randle into the prestigious Top Shot 50 club. 

Their most Legendary Moments of the season can be voted on by any NBA fan, but collecting a Legendary Pack with their best Moments later this NBA season will be reserved for collectors with a Top Shot Score of 100,000 or higher. 

You can build your Top Shot Score this month in preparation for the first Top Shot 50 Legendary Drop of the 2022-23 NBA season — starting Thursday, March 16, with XL Packs that will include a guaranteed Rare or Rookie Debut Moment, including the chance at limited edition Moments from Kevin Durant, Mikal Bridges, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jimmy Butler, Julius Randle, and others stars and fan favorites. 

Starting today, you can also compete head-to-head for greatness (and epic prizes) against other collectors with the Alumni Hoops Leaderboard. 

All month long, you’ll find other Plays, Challenges, Pack Drops, Community Brackets (Coming Soon), and other celebrations of hoops and collecting, setting the stage for the first Legendary Top Shot 50 drop. The Road to Top Shot 50 starts today.

‍Each Hot Pack XL includes 10 Moments, including a guaranteed Rare or Rookie Debut, and is available for $25. You can join this drop at 1pm ET on March 16, and watch every Moment in the drop starting on March 15. A full list of available players can be found here.

The higher your Top Shot Score (a numeric value tied to your collection), and the related Total Drop Score (your Top Shot Score + Early Adopter Bonus + Favorite Team Bonus), the more of these Packs you’ll be able to add to your collection. 

While this Pack Drop is available to all collectors, upcoming MGLE (25,000 Total Drop Score) and Legendary Drops (100,000 Total Drop Score) will be harder to access. 

After you collect these gems from the 2022-23 NBA season, take a trip to the NBA’s past and Top Shot’s earliest days. 

On March 17 at 1pm ET, we’ll see the return of Guaranteed Series One Locker Packs, with 8,000 total packs available for 40 Trade Tickets each. 

Any Moment in your collection can be exchanged for Trade Tickets, your key to accessing these special Pack Drops. Each pack will contain one Series One Base Set Common Moment, including some of the very first in Top Shot history. The full roster of this pack drop will go live on March 16. 

CLIMB THE ALUMNI HOOPS LEADERBOARD

Starting right now, and lasting until April 3, you can burn any Moment for Trade Tickets. If you burn any Moments from a special list of 244 eligible NBA players, you’ll climb the Alumni Hoops Leaderboard, where epic prizes like Top Shot Merch, Ticketmaster Gift Cards, Autographed NBA Jerseys, NBA Top Shot Balance, and Courtside Seats to the NBA Playoffs are up for grabs. 

This limited-time Top Shot Alumni Hoops Leaderboard invites collectors to follow along with the action around the basketball world with a progressive Leaderboard competition with six rounds of prizes and winners. The Top Shot Score of each eligible Moment you burn will help you climb the Leaderboard.

Everyone can participate, but true greatness and an unforgettable prize will be reserved for one collector who outlasts the competition. The #1 collector on the Leaderboard will win a choose-your-own-adventure experience of a lifetime. You pick the NBA Playoff Game in the First Round. You pick the city. We take care of the rest.
