The 2025-26 rookie class has spent the entire season pushing to this moment. From debut double-doubles to midseason takeovers, this group has answered every question thrown at it. Now comes the drop every rookie collector has been waiting all season for.

Rookie Revelation drops April 15th.

This is the one and only rookie Legendary set of Series 2025-26.

And this year, the mint counts have been slashed to an unprecedented degree.

The Scarcest Rookie Legendaries Ever Minted

In previous seasons, Rookie Revelation was minted to /75. From Series 4 to Series 2024-25,  top rookies also earned an additional /50 Hardware Legendary on top of that, putting Rookie of the Year-caliber players at 125 total Legendary Moments minted during their rookie campaign.

This season, Rookie Revelation is minted to just 35 total. Standard /29, plus a /5 Galactic and 1-of-1 Omega parallel. 35 total per player. That's it.

For context: the last two Rookies of the Year, Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle, each had 125 Legendary Moments minted during their rookie seasons. Cooper Flagg will have 35. That's a 72% reduction for the top rookies and a 53% decrease across the board for every rookie in the set.

These are also the first and only Galactic and Omega parallels these rookies will receive this season.

ROOKIE REVELATION ILLUSTRATIONS

For the first time in Top Shot history, every Rookie Revelation Moment features a fully illustrated player panel. All 30 rookies receive unique artwork celebrating the player and their franchise, with illustrated nods to their backgrounds, nicknames, and skill sets woven into each design. No two panels are alike. This is the most visually ambitious set we've ever released.

Between the artwork, the historic scarcity, and the insane quality of play from a rookie class that has exceeded even its loftiest expectations, Rookie Revelation 2025-26 has a case for going down as one of the great sets in NBA Top Shot history.

A Rookie of the Year Race For the Ages

Standing at the top of this set are two names you're very familiar with at this point. Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel went from sharing a dorm room at Duke to a Rookie of the Year race that has captivated the entire league.

Flagg rewrote the history books, dropping 51 points against the Orlando Magic to become the youngest player and the only teenager in NBA history to ever score 50. Meanwhile, our livestream buddy Kon Knueppel is making sure the race is one that will come down to the final game of the season. Knueppel poured in 34 points of his own in their first-ever professional matchup, a rookie duel where they combined for 83 points, the most scored by a pair of rookies in a single game in 55 years.

From college roommates to a tight Rookie of the Year race, their Rookie Revelation Moments are built from nights that collectors will remember for a long time.

Snapshot: Friday, April 10th at 12:00 PM ET

On Friday, April 10th at 12:00 PM ET, we're taking a snapshot of each of these 30 rookies' player leaderboards.

The #1 collector on each player's leaderboard at the time of the snapshot earns an airdropped Rookie Revelation Legendary: the jersey match serial. Here's how scarce this set is: six of the 30 rookies in this class wear jersey numbers higher than 29. The set is minted so low that a full 20% of the roster can't even have a jersey match serial. For those players, the #1 collector receives the perfect serial: #29/29.

One airdrop per player. Thirty players. Thirty special serial Legendaries going to the thirty collectors who have proven they're #1.

Auctions: Monday, April 13th

Starting Monday, April 13th, three additional standard edition Rookie Revelations per player will be available via a two-day trade-in auction.

The requirement is straightforward: any Rare Moment from that player: Freshman Gems, Origins, Metallic Gold LE. Stack everything you've got. Every Rare stack you've been building from this rookie class all season long feeds into your bid. These auctions are going to drive serious supply off the market. Need more Rare Moments? Better act fast!

What Else Is Coming on April 15th

Rookie Revelation is the headliner, but the final drop of the regular season also closes up some of the biggest sets of the 2025-26 season:

  • Kingmaker and Skyline receive their final Ultimate 1-of-1 Editions
  • Holo Icon concludes its flagship 50-Moment run
  • Top Script wraps its final six Legendary autographs
  • Metallic Gold LE releases its final 30 Rare Editions
  • Vintage Vibes concludes with its final eight historical Common Moments
  • Rookie Debut wraps the season's Common rookie set
  • Bag Work drops in its entirety: all 20 Moments, a brand new Common set released in full

Set reward challenges for all concluding sets go live immediately on drop day at 3 PM ET. Full rosters and details are coming soon.

Thirty rookies. Thirty-five Legendaries per player. The scarcest rookie Legendary class in Top Shot history.

2026 NBA Finals Legendary Set

Alpha: the 2026 NBA Finals Legendary set is returning.

This year, a handful of exceptional rookies are playing sizable roles on top teams. Should one of these players, Dylan Harper for example, not just make the NBA Finals but deliver an iconic Moment, they may be included in the set. Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? Definitely not!

To honor the rookie scarcity that has been at the core of Series 2025-26, should the above scenario take place, that rookie's 2026 NBA Finals Legendary would be earned exclusively through a Trade-In Auction. Unlike Rookie Revelation, where only Rare Moments are eligible, any Rare or Legendary Moment from that player would qualify in bids.

It's important to us that collectors have the full picture of the rookie Legendary landscape before they start collecting Rookie Revelation. Important enough that we're okay front-running our own playoff announcement, which is coming soon!
