The Lock-In: April Deposit Match
The NBA Playoffs are coming. Your collection should be ready.
Starting Monday, April 14, we're matching your deposits on NBA Top Shot.
From Monday, April 13 at 12:00 AM ET through Tuesday, April 22 at 11:59 PM ET, deposit new funds, buy NBA Top Shot Moments you want, lock them, and earn Dapper Balance back.
Every collector on Top Shot is eligible. VIPs earn more.
How It Works
1. Deposit new funds into your Dapper Wallet
Add new funds between April 13 and April 22. ACH, debit card, credit card, or PayPal. Pre-existing balance doesn't qualify.
2. Buy Moments or Packs on the Marketplace
Use those newly deposited funds to collect.
3. Lock your purchases
Lock the Moments you buy during the window. Packs must be opened and all contents locked.
4. Earn your match
Credits land April 23 evening as non-withdrawable Dapper Balance.
Match Rates
VIP Collectors: 15% Match (Uncapped)
All current VIPs (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) earn 15% back with no maximum. Minimum qualifying spend: $50.
Example: Deposit $5,000, buy and lock $5,000 in Moments = $750 in Dapper Balance.
All Collectors: 10% Match (Up to $1,000)
Every collector on NBA Top Shot earns 10% back, up to $1,000 in Dapper Balance. Minimum qualifying spend: $50.
Example: Deposit $1,000, buy and lock $1,000 in Moments = $100 in Dapper Balance.
How Your Match Is Calculated
Rebate =(New Deposits, Locked Purchase Value) x Match Rate
Your match is based on what you deposit, buy, and lock. Sales during the window don't reduce your qualifying amount. No complicated deductions.
Example: You deposit $2,000 on April 14. You buy and lock $2,000 in Moments. Even if you sell $500 in other Moments during the window, your qualifying amount stays at $2,000.
What Counts
- Marketplace Moment purchases locked during the window
- Pack purchases where all contents are opened and locked during the window
- Purchases made with funds deposited April 13–22
What Doesn't Count
- Pre-existing Dapper Balance (before April 13)
- Moments that aren't locked during the window
- Unopened packs
- Boxes and cases
