The Top Shot 50 is a new Legendary collection in Series 4 designed to encapsulate the 50 players that define the 2022-23 NBA season and the Moments that highlight their greatness.
NBA players from the NBPA’s executive committee and team reps are voting for their peers, bestowing upon them a level of respect and recognition that’s unparalleled in NBA history.
The First Wave of Top Shot 50 inductees specifically features the players that captured the hearts, minds, attention and respect of their peers from the start of the NBA season on October 18 through Thanksgiving.

They’re not ranked in any particular order — greatness recognizes greatness, no matter when it happens — and in the coming weeks and months, the remaining 40 players recognized as the most impactful on the court this season will be unveiled as our inaugural NBA Top Shot 50.
Starting now and for the rest of the NBA’s regular season, collectors will have the opportunity to vote on the top plays of the year to help determine which star’s highlights are worthy of being celebrated as Legendary tier collectibles.

As we celebrate the 10 players who have earned their place in Top Shot’s flagship Legendary Set during the 2022-23 NBA season, we’ve got a new NBA Top Shot 50 Reveal Hot Pack available now to celebrate their greatness. So what’s in the packs?

In total, 50 Greatest Hits Moments from NBA Top Shot history for each of the 10 players celebrated in this round of the Top Shot 50 can be found in packs.
- Each $10 pack includes 3 Moments — two of which are guaranteed to be a Series 4 Base Set or Parallel, and one that can be a Base Set, Parallel, Common LE, Rare or Legendary.

NBA Top Shot Goes Global with the NBA Paris Game 2023
In a new promotion with our partners at the NBA, we’re delighted to share that everyone attending the Detroit Pistons vs. Chicago Bulls game at Accor Arena in Paris, France today will be presented with the opportunity to redeem a free limited edition collectible from the NBA and NBA Top Shot while they’re at the game.
Accessible to everyone in attendance, this milestone in experiential fandom marks the first time that everyone at a basketball game will be able to leave with a digital souvenir, courtesy of Top Shot.

Spanning Tuesday, January 24 to Saturday, January 28, 11 classic and budding NBA rivalries will take center stage across TNT, ESPN, ABC, and NBA TV — and alongside each of these nationally televised matchups of basketball excellence, NBA Top Shot will play a role in capturing and celebrating the intensity that happens on the court.
Rivals Week games will feature new limited edition Moments.
When Rivals Week kicks off on January 24, we’re celebrating the occasion with the Series 4 introduction of our flagship Rare Set, Metallic Gold LE, featuring many of the players who will be lacing it up to rep their squad and their city during this heated series of head-to-head matchups.
Rare Metallic Gold LE Packs are coming on January 26, 2023
Since the beginning, Metallic Gold LE has been Top Shot’s flagship Rare Set.
This year, that tradition will continue with an even higher bar for players to earn their spots in the Set and for collectors to land a pack.
Only 3 players per team will receive a Metallic Gold LE Moment, the fewest ever, and the edition size of each Moment will be the lowest since our 2019-2020 NBA season, at just 399 per player.
Included in the first Metallic Gold LE drop of Series 4, you’ll find a breathtaking Luka Dončić assist, a Russell Westbrook block on KD that will be talked about for years to come, a gravity-defying Giannis dunk, a Joel Embiid block on Giannis and new Moments from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray, Bol Bol, Trae Young, Jalen Brunson and other stars from around the league.
This drop also features the debut of Metallic Gold LE Reels, featuring unbelievable performances from Ivica Zubac, Anfernee Simons, D’Angelo Russell, and Jimmy Butler.
Upcoming Metallic Gold LE Challenge Rewards will feature Tyrese Haliburton, Evan Mobley, and Tyler Herro.
These Rare packs will become available on January 26 in a convenient drop format that allows collectors to choose to join up until January 30, at which point all collectors who joined will have a chance to receive the available packs.
