Curry’s passing ability often goes under the radar, though he’s got a career’s worth of highlight-reel dimes, most notably with his left hand. He does a great job of reading and reacting to how the defense is playing him, as evident with his perfect lefty strike behind the back to Andrew Wiggins (for the score) despite drawing multiple defenders.
One of two Steph dimes listed on Top Shot, it’s available as a common, rare & legendary Moment.

Is it fair to call any Steph Curry shot a “desperation heave?” This is the same player who should legitimately be tightly guarded as soon as he crosses halfcourt. With the shot clock nearing zero, he hoisted a rainbow triple (from well beyond the arc) that dropped straight in. Degree of difficulty = 10.

One of Steph’s key offensive traits is his ability to isolate, especially against mismatches on the perimeter. Any time a big is switched on him outside, Steph uses a couple moves to create separation for a triple (that usually goes in). Creating the required amount of space as a guard is one thing, knocking down a contested three in the face of a 7-footer is another.

Steph Curry’s Christmas Moment is an incredible combination move on the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks. He’s able to get Jrue Holiday off balance with a lefty dribble (stopping on a dime) to a perfect in & out bounce before floating it up for a score - Steph’s subtle hesitation serves as an ideal set up before the basket.

The second of two Steph dimes currently on Top Shot is a midair, behind the back pass to Kevon Looney for the bucket. The play could have fallen apart without Steph’s shot fake (of the layup) - great job of bringing the ball up and masking whether to shoot or dish it off. A 30-point, 9-rebound, 8-assist effort reps one of the most complete stat lines out of his Moments.

Another late, fading triple with the clock winding down - this time right before the end of the 3rd quarter - Steph adds a little extra to it with a “high step” celebration on the way back down. He dropped 38 points, 11 assists & nine threes: his third-highest three-point total out of his Moments.

Steph’s hesitation crossover is featured in this Moment - he sets up with a quick cross then combines it with another move to split defenders and later fake a pass to the corner before laying it in himself. With so much attention on his outside shot, there’s plenty of room to improvise.

Not many players use passes to set up “return throws” quite like Steph. For years, Golden State has set the bar with the ability to create space in the halfcourt through excellent screen setting, movement, misdirection and relocation. Draymond Green immediately hits Steph back after receiving the ball and Steph utilizes his hypersonic shot release for a falling triple over Mike Conley Jr: a Moment that epitomizes both the Steph-Draymond connection and Steph’s unrivaled shot-making.

Common • Seeing Stars (Series 2)
Steph’s “Seeing Stars” Moment is a super size up: a series of dribbles into a step back three. Despite multiple moves, Steph’s able to remain on balance for his jumper: a rare trait amongst the game’s most elite shooters.

A classic Steph heat check! - pullup three from 30+ feet with 20 seconds on the clock, followed by his signature Shimmy at the end. Taking and making a 30-footer in transition just shows the kind of rhythm Steph was in that night: finished with 57 points and 11 triples! - most explosive performance of all of his Moments.

The other-worldly team-up of Steph Curry & LeBron James is special in its own right. Converting his signature “turnaround 3” (as in Steph turns and poses before the shot falls right in) while playing on Team LeBron in the 2021 All-Star Game is a perfect addition to the highlight vault.

History! Steph’s second-best scoring outing on Top Shot (53 points) was a record-setting performance. His layup on April 12 gave him the top spot on Golden State’s all-time scoring list, passing Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain in the process.

Steph’s most recent Moment on Top Shot truly shows how difficult it is to stop him. He throws the ball down court to Damion Lee who awaits Curry’s arrival beyond the arc. With a few feet behind the line, Curry takes the return pass and splashes an off-balance three over two Clipper defenders.
His 45-point, 10-rebound performance kicked of his 2021-22 MVP campaign in style.
