New Rookie Moments and Top Shot Debuts Coming For WNBA Fans

Can you believe the WNBA season is almost at the halfway point? Wild, right?

With the All-Star Game tipping off on Sunday, July 10, the Las Vegas Aces hold the top spot, with the defending champion Chicago Sky trailing them and the Connecticut Sun on their heels. What a trio! 

And right before All-Star Weekend (ASW), on July 7, 2022, we have some of the most fire Moments from the 2022 W season dropping in our second WNBA Base Set drop. This drop features 14 brand new Moments, including some much-anticipated WNBA rookies, Top Shot Debuts and big stars showing off their epic skills that encapsulate just how special they are. 

Containing three Base Set Common Moments, 14,000 packs will be available for $9 each in a General Queue that opens at 3pm ET (12pm PT). Each pack will exclusively feature three of these 14 new Moments. 

Anyone can purchase one pack — whether you’re a WNBA Top Shot rookie or experienced veteran. Collectors with a Total Drop Score over 5,000 will be able to purchase two packs per transaction, and those with a 15,000 or higher score can purchase three packs at a time — everyone has the ability to line up in the Queue for another round of packs, while supplies last. 

For this drop, we’re introducing something special and totally new — join the Queue with your friends to experience it together, and earn unique rewards in the process. 

When you join the Waiting Room, you’ll be able to use a special link to invite up to 4 other friends to “fill out your team” and enter the Queue with you. If 3 or more members of your team purchase a WNBA pack, you’ll all receive “allowlist” access to the next WNBA Base Set drop – meaning you are guaranteed a pack and can purchase it at your convenience in a special Queue open for 24 hours. 

BTW, anyone who held a complete WNBA: Best of 2021 set (at the snapshot taken at 11am ET on 6/29) will receive a free airdrop of one WNBA Base Set, Release 2 pack.

Airdrop update: For every NBA and WNBA pack drop, we create and save packs for support needs, as well as future marketing and promotions. For this drop, we've decided to get these amazing Moments into the hands of collectors and set holders, and will be taking many of the packs from our saved inventory and delivering them via airdrop to complete set holders for WNBA Player's Choice, WNBA Base Set (Series 4) and WNBA Archive Set (Snapshots taken on 7/6 at 12:30pm ET), in addition to the previously announced WNBA Best of 2021.
