Crafting Challenges give you the ability to earn new Moments for all 30 NBA teams, and burn existing Moments in the process. The Squad Goals set, which make up the Challenge Rewards for our current NBA Crafting Challenges, is a Top Shot homage to teamwork.

Players making the extra pass. Diving for loose balls. Sprinting in transition. Sharing the rock and finishing strong.

In the process of these challenges taking place, thousands of Moments will be burned – permanently – by members of the Top Shot community, unlocking unique Challenge Rewards. This action will reduce the supply of collectibles in the Marketplace, effectively making those editions more scarce.

After the conclusion of our first Squad Goals Crafting Challenge, 2,450 Golden State Warriors Moments were burned, and the collectors who participated earned a new Andre Iguodala Moment in the process, showcasing a beautiful play involving Draymond Green, Steph Curry and Otto Porter.

As each Squad Goals Crafting Challenge goes live, we'll be shining a spotlight on a handful of Moments from each NBA team that you might have overlooked.

The Underrated and underestimated players and Moments that are special in their own way, from monster performances to scarce and significant highlights in a player's career. Hidden gems from Series 1, 2 and 3.

Next up, let’s take the focus to the Atlanta Hawks — whose Squad Goals Challenge is now live and features a thrilling new John Collins Moment that starts with a steal and ends with an alley-oop slam — and three hidden gems that exist as officially licensed NBA highlights and collectibles with NBA Top Shot.

TRAE YOUNG (SERIES 1)

Bring on the handles, dimes and good times in The ATL.

Trae Young’s skillset consistently puts crowds — and collectors — on the edge of their seats.

Since this play’s inception, on November 19, 2019, Young has made 2 All-Star appearances and spearheaded the Hawks’ second-ever Eastern Conference Finals showing.

As a frontcourt player, facing Young on an island around the perimeter is a matchup nightmare.

It’s a tall task to stay in front of countless shakes, fakes and dribbling combinations.

Ice Trae made his Top Shot Debut in this Moment, a Rare Metallic Gold LE (Series 1), with an edition size of 299. It’s also available in Legendary and Common tiers.

Trae Young NBA Top Shot

New to Top Shot? The "Debut" Moment, identified with a blue badge, signifies a player's first Moment collectible. It's like a rookie card for all players — not just rookies, and while Trae's dominance over the past three years is undeniable, it's easy to miss this classic that started it all.

Last season, Young averaged 28.4 PPG and 9.7 APG. At only 23 years old, he became the second player in NBA history to lead the league in total points and total assists.

Now, Young has a backcourt running mate in Dejounte Murray, and Atlanta’s young core is hungry for more Playoff success.

CLINT CAPELA (SERIES 2)

Every team needs a rim protector. An intimidator deep in the paint.

Clint Capela plays that role for the Hawks, and if he sends a shot away, he’s not afraid to show his finger-wagging disapproval. He’s currently 9th among active NBA players in career blocks per game (1.51).

In the January 22, 2021 contest against Minnesota, from this Legendary Holo Icon (Series 2) Moment, he had a few more blocks than his average.

Capela swatted away 10 – yes, 10 – shot attempts on his way to a triple-double, with 13 points and 19 rebounds. The Moment captures the most blocks in any performance by any player on NBA Top Shot, and the only game on Top Shot where a player recorded a triple-double with blocks.

Capela, a mentor to Hawks’ big men John Collins and Onyeka Okongwu, is exactly the kind of pick-and-roll partner Trae Young thrives with. Conditioned from his days in Houston, Capela consistently dives hard to the basket and cleans the glass.

In 2020-21, he was the NBA’s leading rebounder.

In the past two seasons, he finished in the Top-5 for most dunks on the year.

Any franchise is lucky to have a center like Clint Capela.

Any collector and Atlanta Hawks fan is lucky to own his only Legendary Moment, of which only 99 exist.

BOGDAN BOGDANOVIĆ (SERIES 3)

Let’s take time to dissect the beauty of this play.

Bogdan Bogdanović isn’t afraid of the biggest stage.

Madison Square Garden.

Six-Tenths of a second before the halftime buzzer.

The savviness to nonchalantly touch the baseline, and the vision to see Trae Young open nearly 90 feet away…

We wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to watch this pass over and over again.

If you want to own the Moment, of which only 99 exist, it’s exclusively in the Marketplace as a Legendary Holo Icon (Series 3) collectible.

While the star of this Moment, and game, is this full-court alley-oop pass to beat the buzzer, it also memorializes Bogdan’s highest scoring game of the 2021-22 NBA season, where he scored 32 points.

It’s Bogdanović's only Legendary Moment with Atlanta and captures a legendary performance in MSG.

Bogdanović is known for his long-range accuracy. He’s a hand-down, man-down shooter. In the 2020-21 season, his first stint with the Hawks, he shot 43.8% from deep on 7.6 attempts per game. Like the Serbian swingman, take aim and find one of his Atlanta Hawks Moment today in our Marketplace.

All summer long, we'll be highlighting hidden gem Moments on every NBA team. Stay tuned for the next team we spotlight, and celebrate your favorite squad with a Crafting Challenge that showcases how well they play together.
